Illumination of my reflection
Or an illusion of my complexion
Mirrors hold truth, backwards
And sideways
Covered in stains
Dappled, not dazzled with remnants
Of residue,
It is overtly overdue
That I fall into perplexity
I mean
This square is vexing me
Slicing and teasing, tantalizing
Stretching past limits, dimensions
My figure, quite alive, some parts decaying
My twin
My clone
OH, is that truly me?
Wherever are the speckled cheeks
The warm and wavy hair,
The sunburnt cheeks
Hot to touch
The auburn eyes with a viridian hue
And that laugh
Unlimited joy, and unsurmountable love
I reach out to feel her, me,
I see the gap between us
Like oceans and galaxies apart
When I realize mirrors only hold
Untouchable beings.
