Have you imagined
Floating in a lake so clear,
That you are swimming in starlight?
That the sky is so full of colors you cannot name,
That it redesigns night?
As you float, the world seems to disappear,
And time seems to slow down,
And you wish you could stay in this eternal bliss forever.
But you hear a scream
from the depths below.
A voice pleading your name,
from the dark abyss.
It snaps it out of your bliss.
It always should.
You swim and swim, towards the endless night,
Even as gravity fights to push you
back up to the lustful sky.
But there is a voice,
calling your name,
keeps you anchored
for evermore.
